Big and Beautiful Bodies Around the World

Throughout the world there are many cultures that prefer a woman with a curvaceous figure and can fill out big lingerie. While the standards of beauty in our country are dwindling in size, in other countries and cultures, the motto bigger is better still holds true. In some nations revering larger sized women is a rather new custom, while in others it has been the norm for centuries. It just goes to show that women who wear big lingerie are sexy around the globe.

In nations where food and wealth were hard to come by a fuller figured wife showed status. It meant that you had enough money to provide your wife with a lot of food.  So women who wear big lingerie became the ideal, a physical embodiment of wealth. The larger the wife, the richer the husband was perceived to be.  Also, many nations that revere larger women have been ravaged by disease. Take South Africa for example, where the wide-spread AIDS epidemic has correlated thinness with illness. In a land where being thin is perceived as being ill, having extra weight is perceived as healthy and beautiful.  Women rarely exercise or lose weight, since when people lose weight there it usually means they are sick with the HIV or AIDS virus.

Some nations prize women who wear big lingerie because they are the standard. In Samoa the percentage of large and overweight people has been on the rise since WWII, when high calorie processed foods were introduced to the island. However, obesity is not a recent phenomenon; biological anthropologists believe that Samoans are genetically predisposed to store calories as fat due to centuries of food shortages in the nation. Since most of the women are larger, the Samoans have embraced that as their standard of beauty.

Other nations are heavy due to necessity. Take the small island nation of Nauru for example. Due to phosphate deposits covering a majority of the tiny island, large scale farming is impossible. Importing fresh produce is expensive, so mostly inexpensive and fattening foods are imported from New Zealand and Australia. With little fresh produce and a majority of food being fattening processed foods, it is little wonder that so many of the women wear big lingerie.

Around the world many cultures prefer a woman who has curves and wears big lingerie.
