Tips on Maintaining Your Huge Bras

Huge bras are expensive, sometimes even more so than smaller bras, which require less material. For that reason, you want to maintain your bras as well as you can so that they will last for as long as possible. Fortunately, there are a number of easy things that you can do to keep your huge bras looking good.

When to Wash Your Bras

Some women wash their bras every time they wear them, and some women wear their bras a few times before washing them. Washing your huge bras will cause them to deteriorate faster, so if you can, try wearing the bra two or three times before you wash it. During the summer months, you might not be able to do this.

How to Wash Your Bras

First, when it comes to washing your bras, you always want to check the tag. It will have the care and washing instructions. Some bras will have different requirements from others. In general, all bras should be hand washed. While this can be time consuming, it is the best way to preserve your bras. If you choose to hand wash your bras, you should use mild detergent, and it is best to start with your lightest coloured bras first, such as your white bras or nude bras. This is because some darker bras (especially red ones) might lose a little of their colour when you wash them, and this will stain your water and possibly your other bras.

If hand washing your huge bras is too time consuming, you can wash them in a washing machine, but you want to take some precautionary steps.

  • First, you will want to find a lingerie bag or a bra ball. The first is a mesh bash that keeps your bras from being damaged by the rest of your clothing. The second is a plastic ball that you can put your bras into, and it provides protection as well.

  • Second, you will always want to choose a delicate or gentle cycle.

  • Third, you will want to wash the bras in cold water.

  • Fourth, you should make sure to hook the clasps so that they will not catch on your other bras.

  • Finally, you do not want to dry your bras in the dryer. This can cause them to shrink and warp. Instead you should air dry them.

How to Store Your Bras

Once you have washed your huge bras, it is very important to store them properly. You should not shove your bras into an overstuffed drawer as this can damage them. You also want to avoid folding your molded cup bras. This will cause dents and wrinkles over time. You can also hang your bras.

If you follow these tips, your huge bras will last and look good for a long time.
