Different Styles of Large Size Bras

There are quite a lot of large size bras on the market. In order for a woman to have a comprehensive wardrobe and always be wearing the correct bra, it’s important that she know the different bra styles. From the different cup styles to the fasteners, large size bras are referred to in many different ways. It’s time to get familiar with bra lingo and start recognizing all the different styles out there. That way when someone suggests a balconette bra, you’ll know what they’re talking about.

Balconette bras offer the best cleavage. This style covers slightly more than a half cup bra, which is going to just cover the nipple. Half cup bras typically come in smaller sizes, while large size bras can be purchased as balconette bras. A full cup bra is the largest of all the cups. This bra extends up the cleavage, covering the entire breast. This bra is not to be confused with a minimizer, which fully covers the breasts but also works to make them appear smaller. Drop cup bras are for women who are nursing their children. Drop cup refers to the cup’s ability to unhinge and expose the nipple. Lastly is the plunge bra, which is the lowest of all the cup cuts. This bra is perfect for wearing V-necks and other low cut blouses.

Large size bras aren’t only referred to by their different cup styles. They’re also often named after their straps or lack thereof. Strapless bras have no bras, while halter bras have halter style straps. It’s quite easy to determine these bra types as their names fully resemble their purpose. When bras are named after their fasteners, they’re also quite easy to determine the type based on the name. For instance, some bras are called front fasteners, while others are referred to as seamless and multiway. Multiway bras are large size bras that can be fastened in a variety of different ways.

In order to make sure you’re always wearing the appropriate large size bras, you’ll want to get familiar with the wide range of styles out there. Different bra styles are going to have different effects under your clothing. If you want maximum cleavage, you’ll want to pick a very supportive bra with a balcony cut. If you need more coverage, a full coverage or minimizer is the way to go. Wearing the right style of large size bras is going to make a very positive impact on your wardrobe.
